Lakers rumors: Three reasons LA is a threat to get Klay Thompson

The latest Lakers rumors are all about Golden State shooting guard Klay Thompson.

After winning a second ring, Klay Thompson isn’t complaining just yet. As part of the Warriors’ historic run and rise to power, he’s seen three straight NBA Finals.

Golden State could’ve had a third consecutive title, but last year’s blown 3-1 lead hung over their head from 2016.

The biggest story was Kevin Durant’s chase for a ring. A long time coming, the explosive forward finally got what his dream was and celebrated with his mother at mid-court after the final buzzer.

But what about Klay?

With the move for Durant, Thompson’s role with the team, particularly offense, has been on the decline. That, mixed with free agency looming in 2019, gives the Lakers some reason to hope.

Here’s three reasons they could accomplish a major steal in the near future.
