Weeks 5-8

Week five: Chargers at Giants

The Chargers make their first trip to New York on the year to square off against first-round pick Eli Manning and the New York Giants. This should be a fun, offensive game to watch. The two offenses will likely pick each other apart for a high energy affair.

However, at home, the Giants may barely edge out the Chargers. Odell Beckham Jr. will likely have a big day against the Chargers secondary. 30-28 Giants. (3-2)

Week six: Raiders at Chargers

Despite this being a home game, there will likely be more Raider fans in attendance for this game instead of Charger fans. The Raiders were another team that wanted to head to Los Angeles, and arguably have way more fans in LA than the Chargers do.

In the end, though, that will not matter. This year is geared to be a special one for the Raiders. With a healthy Derek Carr and a resurgence of Marshawn Lynch, this Raiders offense will be even more high profile. 28-14 Raiders. (3-3)

Week seven: Broncos at Chargers

In their first rematch of the season, the Chargers are squaring off against the Broncos in the StubHub Center. Coming off of consecutive losses, and a week one loss in Denver, the Chargers will play with a vengeance. That same home field advantage that gave the Broncos the win in week one will now swing in the Chargers favor. 20-14 Chargers. (4-3)

Week eight: Chargers at Patriots

I can write all I want about how the Chargers somehow have a chance against the defending Super Bowl Champions, in New England. Unless something catastrophic happens to the Patriots, the Chargers can compete, but ultimately will fall short. 31-17 Patriots. (4-4)
