The 2017 NBA Draft continues to get closer, which is only raising the speculation. According to the latest Lakers Rumors, who has the best chance of being drafted by LA?
Thursday, June 22. Laker fans all around the world have patiently been waiting for the day that Adam Silver announces the next Laker. For the longest time, many were unsure if the Los Angeles Lakers would even maintain their draft pick. If their pick fell anywhere outside of the top three in the lottery then it would have gone to the Philadelphia 76ers.
The Lakers threw a wrench in the system when they went on a season-high five game win streak, lowering their chances to just under 50%. However, the basketball gods were with the Los Angeles Lakers as they were able to secure the second overall pick with the Suns falling to the fourth.
If they did lose this pick they would have kept next year’s pick, which is now in Philadelphia’s possession. However, with this draft class being so deep it was understandable why this year was so important. There are so many talented guards in this draft class, there is scorers, playmakers, and athletic freaks. The Lakers seemingly cannot go wrong.
This had led to many Lakers rumors surrounding each draft prospect. There was a common consensus for a while, but as we have gotten closer to the draft that has only faded.
