Closing Thoughts

In the end, this was a move that got what both teams really wanted. Houston got their superstar to try and duplicate some sort of dynamic duo with James Harden.

In return, Los Angeles was able to salvage some of its loss at guard, but not all of it. Doc Rivers will have to play the young talent more often than years prior, in all likelihood, though.

He hasn’t done that much in his time with the Clippers, but the loss of star power leaves him no other choice. When it comes down to it, the Clippers should be thankful. They got a point guard off their hands that honestly couldn’t deliver, and in return got pieces they can build around.

The biggest question mark remains to be Sam Dekker, but both Lou Williams and Patrick Beverley are proven players at their positions.
