More Clippers rumors are coming out of Los Angeles, and they now include J.J. Redick.

After seeing their star point guard be traded to Houston, Clippers fans must be having mixed emotions by now. Unfortunately, Chris Paul was only the first domino to fall in the whole thing.

There continues to be discussion of what to do with DeAndre Jordan in the process. Whether that involves a trade or not is yet to be determined. Blake Griffin is openly looking for a new home, and now so is J.J. Redick.

Without Chris Paul, the chances of them re-signing any of those other core pieces weren’t likely.

The news about Redick was reported by ClutchPoints, citing both ESPN and FanSided sources. Redick has yet to make waves with any new team as of yet.

Per the report:

"In the wake of Chris Paul‘s imminent trade to the Houston Rockets, shooting guard J.J. Redickexpressed no desire to re-sign with the L.A. Clippers, according to ESPN’s Brian Windhorst via Clevis Murray of FanSided.Paul’s trade to Clutch City was supposed to clear the way for the Clippers to re-sign some of their most pressing free agents, but it now appears the blockbuster move might just leave bones on the table while other teams get the meat."

Seeing Redick leave would be the ultimate nail in the coffin. Los Angeles is going through an uneasy, but very necessary process.

It has come out that Chris Paul and Doc Rivers didn’t have the best of relationships. Not that it speaks for all of the team, but you have to wonder who else felt that way.

The distaste for Rivers seems to have come from the fact that he wouldn’t trade his son. Austin Rivers was supposed to be part of a deal for Carmelo Anthony, but it never went through.

Wherever Redick plays next, it’s obvious that chemistry matters to him too. Being able to get along with his teammates and coaches could be the best for both sides, even if he landed on a non-contender.

It was originally believed that Redick would sign somewhere like Brooklyn. The Nets could be a nice fit for him, but not nearly as much of a contender as LA, even in their weaknesses.

The Clippers would need to utilize the full value of the Chris Paul trade if Redick leaves. It puts them in a position where they lose another starter. Not just anyone, either, but their best shooting guard on the roster.
