The Los Angeles Clippers and Houston Rockets gave us the blockbuster trade of the summer. Now, what do the latest Clippers rumors entail?

In case you missed it, the Los Angeles Clippers and Houston Rockets struck a deal that will send Chris Paul to Houston in exchange for Patrick Beverley, Lou Williams, Sam Dekker, and a 2018 first round pick. This spells the end of an era in Los Angeles for Chris Paul, and could signal some big changes for the Clippers.

There are two routes the Clippers can go with this deal. First, this could be a signal of a complete rebuild. With Blake Griffin as a free agent, this may be the team preparing for his departure and gearing up for the future. If this is the case, center DeAndre Jordan very well could be traded in the coming weeks as well.

Or, this could be merely a change of scenery for the Clippers. If anything, this frees up space for the Clippers to resign Blake Griffin. With Bird Rights, the Clippers can go over the salary cap to give Griffin the contract he demands.

With Paul out of the picture, the Clippers can now bring in another star to play alongside Griffin. While it was fun while it lasted, the Lob City tandem never made it past the second round of playoffs. Both Paul and Griffin are exceptional players, but it never seemed to click at the same time.

The Los Angeles Clippers are going to want to remain elite. With a fairly deep free agent class, the team may have the outlet to do so. According to the latest Clippers rumors, what stars can the Clippers now bring in to play alongside Blake Griffin?
