It appears as if the Lakers are making early moves in NBA Free Agency.

We already know what the Lakers hope to do — make a splash. This season coming up will be a testament to us about this front office, good or bad. Trading D’Angelo Russell now gives them cap space to use a little this summer and save for Paul George a year from now.

But they can’t afford for those tough decisions to backfire.

This front office’s first draft pick was another point guard in Lonzo Ball. The former UCLA phenom has been praised by Magic Johnson, and the fan base only hopes they got it right.

However, free agency is a different animal from the draft. More often than not, you can know what you’re getting yourself into. Whether that’s consistency, drama, chemistry or lack thereof, it’s all on the table at that point.

According to a report from Lakers Nation, the team is talking with Andre Iguodala, Rajon Rondo, and Ben McLemore.

What makes this summer one of the best we’ve seen in recent years is the fact that every team could be a major player or a dark horse.

The threat of Paul George coming to Los Angeles next year could also give them some leverage. Take players in on a one or two year deal, see how they perform, and then go from there.

Here’s a break down of how the three reported players would fit in with the Lakers.
