2. Jamal Crawford

The former Los Angeles Clipper very well could be coming back to LA, this time suiting up in the purple and gold. Crawford was recently traded to the Atlanta Hawks, then agreed to a buyout with the team to solidify their entry into their rebuilding era. Crawford, a native of Los Angeles and a veteran presence, would be a great fit on the Los Angeles Lakers.

Perfecting the art of being an NBA sixth man, Crawford has become one of the most well-known names the NBA has to offer. Although earlier I did state that the Lakers should only go with a starting shooting guard, not a bench role, the amount of minutes Crawford would eat off the bench would make up for this deficiency.

The Lakers shock the world and start Josh Hart at shooting guard instead of Clarkson. Hart has the potential to be the biggest sleeper of this draft class, and giving him starting minutes would accelerate that process. With Crawford behind him, it would avoid over exposing the young shooting guard and would ease the transition to one day becoming a starter in the NBA.

Then, Clarkson could move behind Ball and give the Lakers that scoring point guard they need off of the bench. A bench backcourt consisting of Clarkson and Crawford would be nothing short of deadly and could give the Lakers one of the best scoring benches in the league.

Crawford is an excellent fit on this Lakers team, should they sign him to a one-year deal. However, there is still one more guy that would be an even better fit than the dominant sixth man.
