Kyle Kuzma

The power forward from Utah has done his part in terms of impressing people during the Las Vegas Summer League. It is a season where the Lakers front office is expecting a lot of forward Julius Randle.

He lost his true rookie season to injury, and hasn’t done anything spectacular since then. Magic Johnson has expressed hope in him, but Kuzma could play his way into a starting role with ease if things don’t actually change.

In the second game of summer league where Lonzo Ball had a triple double, Kyle Kuzma had his own monster performance. Versus Boston, the rookie scored 31 points and had nine rebounds to his credit.

For Kuzma, the goal seems to be to impress coaches and staff until he had a solid part in the rotation. Along with Brandon Ingram and Lonzo Ball, Kuzma could prove to be a true steal from the draft.

Not picked under selection 27, the Lakers picking Kuzma was made possible thanks to the D’Angelo Russell trade with Brooklyn. Since they’re already seeing such promise from him, it’ll be exciting to watch what he’s got in store next.
