Closing Thoughts

When it’s all said and done, head coach Luke Walton will have a lot to work with. Youth is important to the Lakers, but what’s ultimately going to decide games for them is how they use it.

Both Bryant and Kuzma have potential to be stars alongside Lonzo Ball and Brandon Ingram. As for Josh Hart, he’ll have to find a way to impress the front office in a way they’ve never had a gaurd do.

Whether it’s his shooting, athleticism, or another factor, Hart has the most to prove out of this year’s Lakers rookies. The reason that is a good thing is that there’s plenty of time for it to all develop.

Because of the fact that Golden State will likely be at the top again next season, it gives the Lakers enough time to get it right. That way, when the door for the Warriors is closing, Los Angeles is ready to pounce.

All in all, they’ll have a real shot at the playoffs if they can get over themselves. Not letting the past affect them is one thing, but also being able to push past one bad game or one bad shot is crucial to their success.

It wouldn’t be happening without any of these rookies. So with that in mind, all we can do is brace ourselves for another wild heck of a season.
