3. Ten-game win streak – June 16-25

The Los Angeles Dodgers have been hot, that is without question. The best streak that the team underwent was a ten-game win streak starting on June 16 and culminating with their wild pitch victory over the Rockies. This stretch was the key factor in the team going 21-7 in the month of June and finishing the fist half winning 26 of their last 30 games of the first half.

In this stretch, the Dodgers outscored their opposition 79 runs to 28. This house cleaning consisted of sweeping the Reds, Mets and Colorado Rockies before finally dropping a game against the Angels. Before this streak, the team was on a six-game win streak that was halted by a 5-12 loss against the Indians.

Should the Dodgers have taken care of business and swept the Indians too it would have accounted for five consecutive sweeps and 17 straight wins. The longest win streak in MLB history without a tie is 21 games.

The 2017 Los Angeles Dodgers are special and this ten-game win streak perfectly showcases this. Mirroring the historic run the team went on in 2013, if these guys can stay hot they will undoubtedly be the favorites to win the World Series. With a better pitching staff and deeper roster than 2013, this could actually be the year.
