Avery Bradley

While Avery Bradley is not the most polarizing name in the NBA, he is a solid player and would be a great number two option behind any superstar that Los Angeles brings in. Ironically, Bradley is the man who will replace Caldwell-Pope in Detroit, so Los Angeles would be double dipping on Detroit shooting guards.

After this season Bradley will be an unrestricted free agent. It will be tough for the Lakers to lure him away, as he likely will ask for a pretty penny. With Detroit owning Bird Rights on Bradley this makes it more difficult for Los Angeles. However, the prospects of playing alongside Ball and another superstar in LA may be enough for Bradley.

Last season Bradley put together a fairly solid resume on the offensive side of the ball. Bradley averaged 16.3 points, 6.1 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game. With Bradley’s two All-Defensive honors, including being a member of the first team last year, it is evident that he is the perfect two-way player that the Lakers need.

Again, if this is the Lakers plan for their big superstar splash then they might as well pass on Bradley. There is no reason to over pay for a guy that will be great but cannot put the team on his back and bring in future superstars. However, if Bradley is used as a supplemental piece, this partnership would be perfect.
