OF Alex Verdugo (Ranked second)

This one is perhaps the most controversial inclusion on this list and I am prepared for all of the backlash that I am likely going to receive for this. Alex Verdugo is a very talented player, yes. He is years beyond his age in terms of hitting talent and has a knack for squaring the baseball up and driving it in the gap. He is a textbook hitter, much like Chase Utley, who just squares the ball up.

Add in above average fielding and a great arm and Verdugo is a nice commodity in the outfield. The perfect mold for a two hitter, Verdugo could provide base runners atop the line up as well as bring in results in the outfield. The problem is, however, that the Dodgers are extremely crowded in the outfield.

With Joc Pederson, Yasiel Puig, Andrew Toles, Chris Taylor and even Cody Bellinger in the outfield there is not much space for Verdugo. Sure, one could argue that Verdugo is a better hitter than Joc Pederson, but Pederson also brings great fielding and has seemed to come through when it matters most.

The fact of the matter is that Verdugo is big league ready but the Dodgers do not have anywhere to put him. Instead of calling him up simply to call him up, Los Angeles could chase an established bat that mashes left-handed pitching.

This may not be the most favorable move, as a lot of people want to see Verdugo in Dodger blue. However, for the chances of winning the World Series this season, it may be the best move.
