Previously Ranked: 93. Yusniel Diaz. 89. player. Pick Analysis. OF. 71. Scouting Report

Yusniel Diaz actually saw his ranking fall from fifth to sixth in the Los Angeles Dodgers farm system, yet saw a four spot lead from 93 to 89 in the overall rankings. With all of the hype around the higher prospects on this list, not many people know about Diaz and what he can bring to the big league table. However, the international prospect has shown some promise in the minors.

Diaz was signed by the Dodgers for $31 million in the 2015 international signing period. Since then, Diaz has spent the most of his time playing in high A Rancho Cucamonga with the Quakes, fairing pretty well for himself.

In 162 games total played in the minor leagues, Diaz has hit to a .278 mark, hitting 17 home runs and driving in 96 RBIs. Diaz is not the biggest power threat, as he will top out at 15 home runs a year in the majors, but he has the keen ability to square the ball up and hit gap-to-gap.

The thing with Diaz is he is not particularly great at any one thing, but he is good at everything. Diaz has good range and speed in the outfield with an arm that will likely place him in center field. His bat has some pop, evident by his 17 home runs and he knows how to find the gaps.

Diaz has the tools to make the big leagues with the ability to be an everyday starter. Although being all-star caliber is his absolute ceiling, only time will make Diaz better.
