Closing Thoughts

In order for Kyle Kuzma to out play Lonzo Ball, he’ll have to take full advantage of getting to play with him. It doesn’t down play the effect that Ball will have on the Lakers, even in year one, it just stresses the different strengths that these young players bring to the table.

Kuzma can score and do his thing while Ball focuses on ball movement and getting the offense in the best position to score and eventually win the game. Kuzma’s display in Summer League showed that there’s reason to be optimistic about his ability to go off on a scoring rampage.

The Lakers need all of the scoring threats they can have. In order for them to be a scary dark horse playoff team, connecting and clicking on all cylinders is a must.

Los Angeles could also potentially see Ball be just as much of a  leader as Magic Johnson hopes he’ll be. A problem that the Lakers would encounter if Ball doesn’t step up to the plate is a slight distrust in Magic Johnson moving forward.

Kyle Kuzma presents a great problem for the Lakers. If they have so much young talent that turns into stardom, they may have to even reconsider how they spend their money next summer.
