Clippers jerseys released for next season under Nike
By Keith Rivas
The updated Clippers jerseys have been released by the team and Nike, with two more still to be determined.
As is well known now, the idea of having set apparel for home and away games is something that Nike is doing away with. Instead, they’re introducing new categories, with the main ones seeming to be the icon and association.
It appears that the way that the jersey releases are going to be include the revealing of all icon and association jerseys before showing the others. As this week came to a close, the Los Angeles Clippers released some of their new threads.
The look really isn’t that bad.
It’s nice to see that the Clippers had a back to blue approach for at least one of their jerseys. Last season involved mostly the black, red, and white ones instead of the blue. A jersey that some fans may want to see return in some fashion is the blue jersey with Los Angeles written in cursive on it.
Maybe Nike will do that for one of the other two, who knows.
The overall feel of these jerseys is much better as well. It gives you something else to look at besides a oddly placed LAC logo like on their prior red and black jerseys.
They are the latest Nike uniform release as of writing this article, but there are still several teams that have yet to show an official release.
As the Clippers enter a new era with Doc Rivers having his responsibilities changed and Blake Griffin being looked to as the team leader, it was only fitting to have an entirely new look. Los Angeles will have to prove that they’re still contenders, let alone a playoff team, the hard way.

Depending on guys like Lou Williams, Patrick Beverley, and Danilo Gallinari will show us just how good Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan can be. Looking fresh always give you a boost of confidence in that, though.
