Lakers: Three reasons why LeBron to LA now seems inevitable
By Jason Reed
LeBron James has been the subject of recent speculation. The face of the NBA has been involved in his fair share of Lakers rumors, and now, James coming to the Lakers may be as sure as ever.
Love him or hate him, it is without question that LeBron James is the face of basketball. There has not been an NBA Finals without James since 2010 and there has not been a player as great and consistent in his era. We have become numb to LeBron James and his greatness, which could be why fans aren’t jumping out of their seats after hearing his ties to the Lakers.
Speculation has sparked that James is without a doubt leaving the Cleveland Cavaliers after this season. With previous ties to the city of Los Angeles, this had led many to believe that James is packing his bags to play in the Staples Center.
For some reason or another, however, Laker fans don’t seem to be that excited about James. Whether it is due to his age, or the natural instinct for Laker fans to hate LeBron because of Kobe Bryant, the hype isn’t there. James can literally go to any team in the NBA and make them a playoff team, this is something to get very excited about if you bleed purple and gold.
Perhaps fans have learned to not get their hopes up. There has been free agent target after free agent target rumored to head to LA, with no avail. Finally, fans could have had enough and are holding back from disappointment.
However, as it stands today, it seems like there may be no disappointment. With the recent developments in the NBA, all signs may be pointing to James coming to the Lakers. Here are three reasons why this now seems inevitable.
