Pick Analysis. ESPN Rank: Third on Chargers, 94th on WR. Tyrell Williams. 4. player. 13. Scouting Report. WR

Tyrell Williams has emerged as a pleasant surprise for the Chargers after being overlooked during his time in college at Western Oregon. He had his first 1,000-yard receiving season last year and added seven touchdowns.

These numbers were good enough to be in the top 15 in both yards and touchdowns among receivers. His 6’4” frame makes him a big target for Philip Rivers to find, and he’ll be looking to continue his success this season.

One reason for his breakout season was that both Keenan Allen and Stevie Johnson were forced to the sideline with season-ending injuries. With both of those receivers back in the mix in addition to seventh overall pick out of Clemson Mike Williams, targets will be hard to find for the 2015 undrafted free agent.

Another issue that experts have with Williams is that he led the team in drops last season, which is demoralizing to his team and to fantasy owners when he loses an opportunity to score points.

Despite these facts, Williams can still be drafted in the late rounds, as he has proven he has the talent to compete on an NFL roster. He is definitely not an every-week starter as a wide receiver but can be considered as a solid flex option when he has a good matchup.
