The Pacific Division:

We had to do it, we had to have at least one mega deal in this list. Although there have been some big trades, and there are a few more big trades to come, this deal stands heads and shoulders above the rest. Klay Thompson has the potential to be a huge superstar if he guided his own team and he can do that in Los Angeles.

Plus, adding Thompson almost ensures that Paul George will come to LA. George wants another superstar and with Thompson, he has that. While the Warriors are unlikely to part ways with any of their stars, they may have to do to salary limitations. The best move then would be to stack up on young talent, as they are doing here.

Austin Rivers and the Clippers seem to be a partnership that is destined to fail. With his dad now out of the front office and primarily coaching, Rivers’ time in LA may be coming to a close. Well, it wouldn’t be if the Lakers traded for him. This deal allows the Clippers to free cap space after this season and gives the Lakers their starting shooting guard for the 2018-19 year.

The Phoenix Suns are in the same state as the Los Angeles Lakers. Except with the Suns, there are no big name superstars tied to their city. With that in mind, Phoenix may look to sacrifice Eric Bledsoe for even more young talent. Moving Bledsoe to shooting guard, Now, the Lakers now would have a big name to help draw in other stars.

Wouldn’t it be cool to see Vince Carter wearing the purple and gold to wrap up his career? This move would be a straight salary dump, although the Kings would benefit from Clarkson’s youth. Add in a second round pick with Carter’s expiring contract and this deal is not so bad for both sides.
