There have been so many Lakers rumors regarding their next move, signing or trade. One name not in the mix is the untouchable Brandon Ingram.

Before anything, let me preface this, I do not think that the Lakers should trade Brandon Ingram or will trade Brandon Ingram. Well, yet at least. We are huge fans of Ingram here at LA Sports Hub and we recognize the potential he has and the star he can be. Therefore, it would be silly for the Lakers to trade him now after just one season.

However, if Ingram fails to meet expectations this season, the team very well could cash out on his promise after year two, much like they did with D’Angelo Russell. Granted, we believe that Ingram will make huge leaps into becoming that star this season, so a trade after year two is highly unlikely.

While it may be unlikely though, that does not mean it is impossible. Let’s face it, the Lakers can get some pretty big returns for Ingram. While he may be deemed as untouchable by Magic Johnson, I guarantee if the price is right they would not think twice in dealing the young forward.

Again, we do not want to see Ingram fail to meet expectations and get dealt for a return that is not worth it. However, if another team were to offer the perfect superstar in exchange for Ingram, we would not be opposed to it.

Therefore, if the Lakers did want to part ways with the 2016 second overall selection, here are three hefty returns they should ask for.
