Lakers Schedule: Predicting every game for the 2017-18 season
By Keith Rivas
Week 10
(16-12)
Back home for the first time in two weeks, the Lakers will have proved their legitimacy with a hard fought win in Cleveland. Coming back to Los Angeles, they’ll have the Golden State Warriors to deal with. The defending champs won’t be an easy task, but someone has to be able to take them down. This game could be the beginning of Golden State’s worst nightmare, especially if the rookies catch fire.
(16-13)
While Golden State and Cleveland couldn’t do it, the Houston Rockets will end the Lakers’ latest winning streak. Thanks to the chemistry between Chris Paul and James Harden taking off, the Lakers could be in for a whooping every time that they visit Houston if they’re not careful.
(17-13)
A poor game versus Houston will leave a bad taste in their mouth, but handling the defending champions and giving fans something to genuinely be excited to watch is something they won’t disappoint on at this point. Even in Oakland, the Warriors won’t be enough for the new-look Warriors who look to let little get in their way.
(18-13)
We’re going to start seeing the Lakers have fewer weaknesses than anyone anticipated by now. Portland will be their next test to see how legitimate they are, especially since they’ve yet to figure out Houston. A buzzer beater by Brandon Ingram will be the difference, with the Lakers winning their first game in a four game home stand versus the Blazers.
