Week 12

107. 20. Final. 105. 86

(22-14)

Even heading into the new year, there will be people saying that the hot start by the Lakers has been just a fluke. Silencing that with a brilliant game in Minnesota, the Lakers will force even the haters to realize that this season really is playoffs or bust. How they guard Jimmy Butler and Karl-Anthony Towns will be the deciding factor here down the stretch.

149. Final. 98. 20. 102

(22-15)

The first home televised game of 2018 for the Los Angeles Lakers will be against the Oklahome City Thunder. Both Paul George and Russell Westbrook are reportedly going to be targeted by the Lakers during free agency in the summer, so this game will be excited to watch with both superstars on another team. However, I see that becoming a distraction for the young Lakers and they let one get away.

97. 170. Final. 91. 20

(22-16)

After falling apart to the Thunder, the Lakers will not be able to scramble back into formation to beat the Hornets. It’s not that Kemba Walker and company will be a scary team in their own right, but the Lakers will just have too much going on to focus in this game and it’ll show.

125. Final. 92. 20. 85

(23-16)

Two game skid stops with a home win versus Atlanta. This game won’t really feature anything special, and could end up being a boring game to watch overall. However, a win is a win — right? Unless you just can’t wait for Lonzo Ball to go up against Dennis Schroeder for some reason.
