Lakers Schedule: Predicting every game for the 2017-18 season
By Keith Rivas
Week 14
(25-18)
Winning in Memphis will be like winning in Houston for the Lakers — hard to manage. Memphis has a great home crowd advantage and with the way that they play, it’s 48 minutes of extremely physical basketball regardless of who they’re playing. Give the Grizzlies some credit for stopping the Lakers in their tracks for a moment.
(26-18)
The last meeting won’t reflect their game in Oklahoma City. Like the majority of their season, this one will be about sending a strong message to a Western Conference contender. Josh Hart will go off in this game for a triple-double and score a career high in points with 32.
(27-18)
To deep into their season to worry about what’s behind them, the Lakers will come storming out of the gate at home against the Pacers. This game won’t be close from the get-go, and the score will only be separated by eleven points because the Lakers will use their bench in most of the fourth quarter versus Indiana’s starters. Sorry, but this one won’t be a fun one to watch if you’re Indiana.
(27-19)
You would think the Knicks wouldn’t be a hard team for the Lakers to beat, but Kristaps Porzingis will have a game to remember. That’s what it’ll take for the Knicks to get a win Los Angeles, and that should say a lot about a young Lakers team who doesn’t even have a superstar yet. The Lakers shouldn’t hang their head for this loss; they’re not perfect.
