Lakers Schedule: Predicting every game for the 2017-18 season
By Keith Rivas
Week 25
(41-36)
The last true road game for the Lakers will come as a loss at the hands of the Jazz. Without Gordon Hayward and George Hill, how good of a squad the Jazz will be able to put together is up for discussion. However, the Lakers will be unlucky and loss this game in overtime after deserving to win.
(41-37)
The reason that the Lakers lose this game is simple — they’ll get beat by lack of strategy. This late in the season, with the playoffs so close, the Spurs might not even play all of their starters. Head coach Gregg Popovich knows what he’s doing and is one of the best basketball coaches alive. This comes as the Lakers still search for the win to get them over .500.
(42-37)
As the race for the playoffs heats up, the Timberwolves and Lakers might be fighting as a preview to a first round playoff series. Minnesota has what it takes to crack the top three if all their stars can play well together, and Los Angeles can absolutely sneak into things as a sixth seed. This win will come in double overtime and off the shot of Josh Hart at the buzzer.
(43-37)
After having one slip away from them in Salt Lake City, the Lakers will handle business in Los Angeles against the Jazz. If Utah isn’t well ahead of the rest of the pack for the eighth seed, expect this to be an elimination game for the Jazz and the Lakers would love to be that team.
