Week 5

20. Final. 101. 66. 108

(7-7)

Bouncing back to .500, the Lakers just won’t go away. This time around, the newfound Suns-Lakers rivalry will be back to being fun to watch. For this game, expect a high scoring first half for both teams, with both Devin Booker and Lonzo Ball going off for over 35 points apiece. Josh Jackson will have more than ten rebounds, while Brandon Ingram will have eight.

127. 93. Final. 131. 20

(8-7)

In what could be the real test of the first half of the season, Los Angeles and Philadelphia will let their young cores go to war finally. This will result in a double overtime thriller, with the Lakers escaping the Sixers by the skin of their teeth. A win like this adds more confidence to a squad who’s just starting to find out they can really win games together. Ben Simmons will have a lights out game, while Brandon Ingram is quiet and Lonzo Ball continues to amaze.

66. Final. 113. 20. 106

(9-7)

No matter how hard Phoenix tries, this game solidifies that, at least for the moment, the Lakers own them every time they step on the floor. Phoenix will have a large lead, as big as 17 points, in the second half but stumble when it matters in the clutch. Both Josh Hart and Julius Randle will have big performances here.

93. 73. Final. 97. 20

(10-7)

After it seemed like they might lose control, a win over Denver in Los Angeles will give them a five game winning streak. Denver will come out on all cylinders, but so will the Lakers. This game will feature a bombardment of shots from downtown, but not until the fourth quarter. Going into the final frame, both teams will have less than 75 apiece.
