Lakers will fall because of big performances from Ben Simmons and Joel Embiid, with the hype and story staying focused on Markelle Fultz and Lonzo Ball. Unfortunately, the Lakers won’t have enough in the tank to win this game.

The focus for this game in Charlotte will be defense. How Brandon Ingram can defend and how well the Lakers have improved as whole defensively will be put to the test. Unfortunately for them, Kemba Walker and company will edge them out in a close contest. This game will also have free throws be a deciding factor, with the Lakers missing a good portion of their shots from the stripe.
