Dwayne Wade may be considering Los Angeles if his contract is bought out.

Dwayne Wade has had his ties with the Los Angeles Lakers already this offseason, and now, those ties strengthen. Wade simply does not fit the rebuilding narrative that the Chicago Bulls are putting forth, especially with his $23 million annual salary.

While practical wisdom says that the Bulls should just pay him and allow him to contribute something this season, the organization may just bite the bullet and buy out of his contract. This would allow more freedom to younger stars like Zach LaVine while allowing Wade to find a new home.

Per Barry Jackson of The Miami Herald, Wade could be looking at a reunion in Miami or to head to the West Coast and join Los Angeles if the buyout were to happen. This is interesting, with Miami you have a playoff contender that has great young talent. In Los Angeles, you have a rebuilding team that could be one year away from greatness.

However, joining Los Angeles may not be about winning anything this year entirely. Although he has taken pay cuts his entire career and deserves to be paid now, Wade may be looking to join LA to set up a LeBron move. Everyone knows how close the two superstars are and if anything this move may be signaling a bigger plan.

While Wade certainly is not the same talent he was ten years ago or even five years ago, he still is a talent that Laker fans can get excited about. As long as he isn’t paid $23 million, that is.
