UCLA Bruins find their way back into being relevant
By Keith Rivas
The UCLA Bruins are gearing up for Week 3 with their eyes set on climbing the rankings after finally getting into the AP Top 25 with the last spot.
According to a report from Scout.com, the UCLA Bruins are now part of the AP Top 25. This comes after a marvelous opening week comeback over the Texas A&M Aggies in which they mounted the second largest comeback in college football history.
This is also after they proved themselves worthy of being taken seriously and pounding the Hawaii Rainbow Warriors by 23 points. Josh Rosen has complete control of where this team ends up, and it’s safe to say that he knows it full well.
Alongside the UCLA Bruins, USC has also been making the most of their season. The Trojans are led by Sam Darnold, and were moved up to fourth in the latest polling.
Depending on how the rest of things play out, the Bruins and Trojans could have a lot riding into their always interesting season finale.
Up next for the gold and blue is a road game in Memphis before then going on to play the Cardinal in Stanford. The Stanford game will be very telling of this year’s group of Bruins, as they shouldn’t have too much of a problem with he Memphis Tigers.
Stanford, on the other hand, was a team that the Trojans were ultimately able to overcome. The hope would be for the Bruins to keep pace with their inner city rival and handle business in the Pac-12.
Following the test there in Stanford, UCLA will play Colorado, Arizona, and Oregon with the only road game in that span happening against the Wildcats. Thereafter, a match will be waiting for them in Washington in the former of the top-five ranked Huskies.
