Dodgers: Three reasons they’ll end up losing the NL West

The Dodgers are in some serious trouble and can’t seem to get themselves figured out.
For lack of a better way to put it, the Dodgers are digging their own grave. Winning just one game this month, Los Angeles has seen their enormous division lead over the Arizona Diamondbacks dwindle to just nine games with a handful of series left on the schedule.
During their current spiral out of control, Los Angeles has lost 16 of their last 17 games, with their sole victory being a Clayton Kershaw start and a 1-0 win over San Diego.
The Diamondbacks have managed to climb back into the discussion for the division crown by playing a heavy part in the destruction of the Dodgers at this point in the season. Another thing worth noting is that the blame can only be shared, as it’s really been a bit of everything going wrong for this team.
There isn’t a whole lot of time left, but the Dodgers are practically guaranteed a spot in the post-season, even in the worst case scenario where they end up as a wild card team. That’s not where any of the team’s fan base envisioned them during the bigger part of the season, especially when they surpassed the 90-win mark not long ago.
With that in mind, here’s a look at three reasons we could see a historic collapse on the part of the Dodgers.
