With the latest Lakers rumors spelling out the arrival of a superstar, a trade from LA seems imminent. However, to accomplish a greater goal, this deal may need three partners.

The Los Angeles Lakers may be the most interesting team heading into next season and certainly are the team to watch following it. Los Angeles, coming off of their fourth consecutive season with a .329 winning percentage or worse, still is one of the most polarizing teams in the NBA. Especially now with Magic Johnson calling the shots, everyone’s eyes are on the Lakers.

Those eyes include the likes of Paul George, LeBron James and maybe even Russell Westbrook. Los Angeles is a polarizing destination alone due to the market, now with the right philosophy in place, it becomes mouth-watering. The same concerns that led to stars passing on LA in the past are no longer present.

First and foremost, the team is in great hands. Johnson and general manager Rob Pelinka have already made leaps and strides with the organization. Plus, the team has one of the best young cores in basketball and could have two future stars in Brandon Ingram and Lonzo Ball. Five years from now, this Lakers team easily could have the Golden State Warriors effect.

However, some roadblocks still lie in the Lakers’ path to success. Los Angeles still has some pretty hefty contracts in the likes of Luol Deng and Jordan Clarkson. The only way the Lakers can bring in a super team is by freeing cap room.

However, a two-team trade may not be enough for Los Angeles. LA certainly wants to give up their hindrances but still needs to put their youth in a position to succeed. Therefore, here are three three-team deals the Lakers should be considering.
