51. 39. 42. Final. 41

Somehow, someway, the Los Angeles Rams got the job done and jumped to 2-1.

The Thursday Night game in Santa Clara ended up being an exciting one for all who were watching, as the LA team dominated the Niners on the field for the first 50 minutes, only for it to end in a nail-biter as the Niners came within three points of winning the game.

The exhilarating affair ended with the Rams squeaking out a win against the 49ers and a 41-39 score– the highest scoring Thursday Night game in NFL history.

With such a big game now in the record books, here’s a look at the biggest observations to take away from this game.

It’s no secret that Goff’s struggles last year contributed to the Rams 4-12 season. Despite the team wanting to start him right away, the first-round pick spent most of his time on the bench.

When Goff was given the chance to in 2016, his play was lackluster and he seemed like one of the biggest draft busts in NFL history. The Jared Goff that we have seen so far this season, however, looks more deserving of his draft price.

While he may not be perfect, he put on a show against the division rival. Goff successfully went 22/28 for 292 yards and 3 TDs– posting a 145.8 passer rating. His decision making was shorter and the hitch in his release is seemingly removed.

If Goff can continue to play as well as he has the past three games, this offense could be something to look forward to for the rest of the season.

Speaking of the offense…
