The NBA season is looming ever so close as the preseason gets underway. As the season transpires, four targets make sense to be included in Lakers rumors.

With all of the Lakers rumors of late, there has to be some sort of shape up for the team moving forward. We have already seen some big chances for the Lakers this past offseason, as only two players in this year’s projected starting five are from last season. However, these moves have made the Lakers significantly better and are a sign of forward progress.

First is the point guard position. That spot was locked down by D’Angelo Russell the past two seasons. However, Russell was traded to the Brooklyn Nets with Timofey Mozgov for Brook Lopez. This move was in anticipation for the new face in town, Lonzo Ball.

Second is the shooting guard position. That spot was a revolving door between multiple guys last season, but now, the Lakers have a concrete starter in Kentavious Caldwell-Pope. What’s even better is Caldwell-Pope has some competition in Jordan Clarkson, so both guys are likely to play their hearts out each and every night.

Last is the center, which of course, was mentioned above in the Russell trade. Lopez was included in the deal as a salary offset for Mozgov, so we may not even see him suit up for the Lakers past this season.

Regardless, the Lakers are bound to make some sort of move as the season goes along. This moves will likely directly correlate with the status of the team’s play, so there are multiple routes to go.

With that being said, here are four potential trade targets the Lakers should consider throughout this season.
