The NLDS 2017 clash between LA and Arizona will be one for the ages.

After an electrifying wild card game win over Colorado, the Arizona Diamondbacks are coming to Los Angeles with a full head of steam. The Diamondbacks won the regular season series with the Dodgers, but we all know just how different playoff baseball can be.

Or is it?

The 11-8 victory over the Rockies showed that the Diamondbacks will have plenty up their offensive arsenal to give the Dodgers plenty of problems.

Paul Goldschmidt led Arizona in all major hitting categories, finishing the regular season with a .297 batting average, 36 home runs, 120 RBI, and 166 hits. In the wild card game versus Colorado, the Diamondbacks put up 11 runs, including six unanswered in the first three innings.

One of the problems that the Rockies exploited was that Arizona may have trouble holding onto a big lead, if they find themselves in that position. Arizona had 17 hits in the game, and any kind of performance close to that would give the Dodgers a nightmare.

Hopefully, though, the pitching rotation that Los Angeles has established will come through. On the flip side, there’s been a number of problems that the Dodgers have had in the first two rounds of the playoffs over the last few seasons.

The series versus Arizona will be incredibly telling, particularly after the Dodgers are coming off of a historically good season since their move from Brooklyn.

Let’s look at three reasons that this NLDS 2017 series will be an unforgettable battle.
