Less than 5%

  • Tyler Ennis
  • Kyle Kuzma

Kyle Kuzma has become the talk of the Los Angeles Lakers, even with the megastar that is Lonzo Ball. Kuzma has shocked many with his performances dating back to the NBA Summer League, and now, Kuzma looks to be a lock for the sleeper pick of the year. You know the kid is good when he is now a dark horse for the NBA Rookie of the Year.

In four preseason games, this season Kuzma has averaged 19.5 points, 4.0 rebounds and 1.3 assists while making 62% of his shots. The 27th overall pick was not expected to get significant minutes, and now, he is a consistent court presence behind Brandon Ingram. In fact, Kuzma is making the case to surge into the starting lineup.

Many Laker fans would call it foolish to deal Kuzma, and I would agree. The Lakers have something special in Kuzma and could come away with the steal of the draft. However, like with Ball and Ingram, if the price is right the Lakes cannot turn down a deal. Perhaps a rebuilding team overvalues Kuzma, and offers a star such as Andre Drummond.

Unlikely, but possible.

As for Tyler Ennis, the trade value is not really there. While the Lakers could get an equal bench option out of Ennis, it does not make sense to trade the backup point guard. The only reason he has somewhat of a chance to be dealt is if he is included in a package. Other than that, don’t expect Ennis to be traded.

These two are unlikely to be dealt, but certainly have a higher chance than the near untouchable duo of Ball and Ingram.
