This is a trade scenario that makes sense for both the Lakers and Celtics in wake of the Gordon Hayward injury.

Los Angeles and Boston are usually bitter rivals, but after the horrific injury to Celtics forward Gordon Hayward on opening night in Cleveland, Boston may have to make a move.

Losing Hayward means losing a big presence at small forward, but for the moment they have Jayson Tatum to step up to the plate. Jaylen Brown‘s duties have been moved from small forward to shooting guard, with Marcus Smart backing him up at the moment.

On the flip side, Los Angeles has every right to be concerned with Brandon Ingram‘s development, especially if the addition of Lonzo Ball doesn’t help get him to where he needs to be. Magic Johnson predicted that Ingram would be a cornerstone of the team moving forward, but it appears that Kyle Kuzma may very well fill that role.

The former University of Utah rookie has taken the purple and gold by storm, giving them a viable option to replace either Julius Randle or Brandon Ingram in the starting lineup.

Knowing all of that, it’s safe to say there’s a lot to consider. So without further ado, let’s dive in to the three reasons this trade would be great to see.
