The Los Angeles Lakers are on the cusp of ending their dry spell. With young talent aplenty, Los Angeles is primed for serious success in the near future.

The NBA is better when the Los Angeles Lakers are a winning team. For the past four seasons, Los Angeles has shied away from its winning roots and has not been able to capitalize on a decade that started with a championship. With Kobe Bryant now gone, the Lakers have been ushering in a new era of young talent and potential superstars to fill Kobe’s shoes.

Right now, the Los Angeles Lakers have a solid core to build upon. Second overall pick Lonzo Ball has taken the point guard reigns over from D’Angelo Russell. Although Russell is better now and is a better scorer, Ball’s playmaking has changed the culture of this offense.

Some key bench pieces have played well thus far and Brandon Ingram has shown that he is ready to improve on his rookie campaign. All in all, the 3-4 Lakers have something to look forward to in the future. Heck, if they were an Eastern Conference team, they may even be a playoff team.

Although they are not quite there yet, the Lakers are on their way to title contention. We have seen the quick turnarounds of the Golden State Warriors and even the Cleveland Cavaliers. All it takes it the right pieces progressing, with the right acquisitions.

Therefore, it is not crazy to aim the sights for the 2019-2020 season. Although that is just three seasons from now, here are three reasons why the Lakers will end the decade with another NBA Championship.
