The last thing the Los Angeles Dodgers want to think about is the World Series. Thus, here are the top 10 free agents and whether LA should pass or pursue them this offseason.

Nothing is more heartbreaking than losing game seven of the World Series. It almost seems better if the Dodgers were eliminated from playoff contention in September to avoid any serious heartbreaks. However, that is just the beauty of the sport and in typical baseball fashion, it keeps moving forward.

Therefore, instead of harping on the past the only thing to do is to look to the future and any possible improvements to be made. With the Dodgers falling just short of their ultimate goal, there is no question that Andrew Friedman’s front office will be busy this offseason. Los Angeles is a few key pieces away from winning it all, and now, they must find them.

There were some holes that were exposed by the Houston Astros. While they may not be gaping holes, they are holes nonetheless that stood in the way of LA and a World Series trophy. Much like the 2015 Royals did in the past, like the 2016 Cubs, it is time for the Dodgers to tweak and fine tune.

It may be hard to imagine the team getting any better after such a magical season, but it is possible. We have seen teams in the past use that heartbreak as fuel to build an even bigger, badder and meaner team.

Expect the Los Angeles Dodgers to do that this offseason. Thus, here are the top ten free agent targets on the market and whether or not the Dodgers should pursue or pass on them.
