Dodgers: The five trade targets that make the Dodgers better in 2018

After falling one game short of the 2017 World Series, the Los Angeles Dodgers are undoubtedly going to be buyers in the 2017-18 offseason.
The Los Angeles Dodgers do not have much room to improve next season, yet Andrew Friedman’s front office will likely find a way to get better. Friedman and company have built a World Series contending team off of key trades, signings and homegrown talent. Now, less than a month removed from a heartbreaking loss, it is time to make a big trade.
The front office definitely recognized that the window of contention is not that large and went out and traded for Yu Darvish at the deadline. Darvish was okay for the Dodgers in the regular season, fantastic in the NLDS and NLCS and absolutely horrific in the World Series. This should not stop the Dodgers from trading this offseason, as options are available.
While there is a pretty good free agent class this offseason, there also are many sharks hungry to be in the position that the Dodgers are in. Even with a lot of freed up money this offseason, the last big name free agent to come to the Dodgers was Zack Greinke in 2012.
Thus, trading may be the only realistic option for the Dodgers to get better. In trades, the Dodgers can pick the perfect candidate that will fit their needs. In free agency, they have whatever is available.
Regardless of what the team does there definitely will be some fireworks this offseason. Therefore, here are five trade targets the Dodgers should pursue this offseason.
