The Los Angeles Dodgers were as close as it gets to winning the World Series. Now, in the offseason, the front office may look to shop some players.

The last two and a half weeks have been brutal for Dodger fans. Having to live with the thought that the team was one win away from their first World Series in 29 years is dishearting. Personally, I have lost countless hours of sleep playing dream scenarios in my head and committing the sports’ sin of playing “what ifs”.

Though it was heartbreaking, it is time to look forward if you are the Los Angeles Dodgers. There is nothing to change, no way to go back and right every wrong the team made in the Fall Classic. Instead, the front office, the coaching personnel and the players themselves must look to get better. One more win better, to be exact.

With this comes some key offseason moves that the Dodgers may flirt with. Los Angeles needs a right-handed pitcher in the starting rotation and a power-hitting right-handed bat. While the latter is more of a luxury, both moves may act as the icing on the cake to go back and win it all. After all, the Dodgers are maintaining their entire core from last season.

However, in this movement for key players and much-needed additions, there will be losses. Whether they act as pawns in a greater trade or simply do not fit the mold no longer, there inevitably will be at least one Dodger fan favorite packing his bags.

Last season it was Howie Kendrick. Although that move worked out in the end, it was a shock at first. Thus, here are four players the Dodgers could shop this offseason.
