The Los Angeles Dodgers immense depth extends to a great farm system. With multiple trade rumors at hand, which prospects can LA afford to part ways with?

The Los Angeles Dodgers are in the best situation an MLB franchise can be in. First, the Dodgers are obviously talented. Los Angeles walked their way into the World Series where it took the extremely talented Houston Astros seven games to take them down. The argument can still be made that the Dodgers should have won that series with better coaching.

Most of that talent is being retained next season. Of players that were on the team on Opening Day, Chase Utley is the only free agent. If the team can re-sign Brandon Morrow and fill Yu Darvish‘s hole, it will be identical to last season. Even better, almost all of these guys are young. Justin Turner and Logan Forsythe are the oldest in the starting lineup at the ripe ages of 33 and 30.

All of this is backed up by a stellar farm system. Talents such as Corey Seager, Joc Pederson, Cody Bellinger, Clayton Kershaw and Kenley Jansen are all homegrown. This tradition of a great farm system has continued. The Dodgers are proud owners of a top-ten farm system.

However, the team still was that one win away from winning the city’s first World Series trophy since 1988. Thus, talks have emerged in how the Dodgers can improve in the few ways they can. Giancarlo Stanton is the most talked about option, Chris Archer could be a surprise trade.

Regardless, the Dodgers would have to get rid of some farm system talents to accomplish these deals. Thus, here are three prospects the Dodgers can afford to trade this offseason.
