3. The Dodgers will re-sign Yu Darvish

Another thing we already covered here on LA Sports Hub, the Dodgers are best of re-signing Yu Darvish this offseason. Darvish is not the most popular person with Dodger fans right now after his World Series meltdown, but he may be the best option for the Dodgers during the Winter Meetings.

Realistically, there are only two other options for the Dodgers to fill the right-handed void behind Clayton Kershaw. Both come with more hurdles than re-signing Darvish and simply tweaking his mechanics.

The first option is free agent Jake Arrieta. As great as Arrieta is and as clutch as he can be in the postseason, he is going to be very expensive. Spotrac estimates Arrieta’s market value at $26 million. This is a lot of money for a team that should be trying to get rid of Adrian Gonzalez.

Second is Chris Archer. Archer is a great young pitcher that has Cy Young potential in the Dodgers pitching system. However, this would require a trade that would take away some of the Dodgers best prospects. That is another thing that would hurt the chances of getting Stanton.

Thus, the Dodgers should look to Darvish. With his love for LA, and his bad World Series showing, the Dodgers may be able to get Darvish for cheaper. A three-year, $60 million deal for Darvish would be a huge win.
