NFC Wild Card Weekend is set, and the Los Angeles Rams have their work cut out for them as they’ll host the defending NFC champs.

Now that we know the Los Angeles Rams were able to pull one of the most surprising turnarounds in quite some time, it’s now all hands on deck for the NFC Wild Card Weekend clash between them and the visiting Atlanta Falcons.

Matt Ryan and company clinched their playoff berth in the final weekend of the regular season, while the Rams have been in the mix for a while now. Rookie head coach Sean McVay is proving that the biggest change the franchise needed was moving on from Jeff Fisher in the appropriate manner.

Going from worst overall offense to the best in the business in just one season proves that they’ve made right move.

It’s more than just working the offense and winning the division, though. Finding a new coach after one year in the league for former number one overall pick Jared Goff was crucial to his development as a pro.

And now that the Rams are benefitting from the absolute right decision from the head coaching carousel, the rest of the league is still trying to find an answer. Los Angeles now has a talented quarterback, with an MVP candidate for running back along with plenty of weapons downfield.

When they’re not on the field, Atlanta is going to have fun with one of the best defenses in football. The Falcons know a thing or two about proving people wrong — both in a good and bad way — but Los Angeles is going to be a test to how real this year’s birds are.

With that being said, here’s three things to know about the first playoff game in Los Angeles in a long, long time.
