Los Angeles Rams Resolution: Take the next step

Unless you’re talking about the New England Patriots in the Bellechick/Brady era no two NFL seasons are alike.

That is how the 4-12 2016 Los Angeles “Lambs” could morph into the 11-5 2017 Los Angeles Rams. A coaching change, new offensive personnel, and stout line play turned a dead team into the most dangerous team in the upcoming playoffs.

But there are caveats to the Rams playoff season. With a chance to be considered NFL elite the Rams lost back to back games against the Minnesota Vikings and the Philadelphia Eagles.

Against the Vikings the Rams offense faltered and against the Eagles it was the defense that took the week off. In 2018 the Rams are going to have to be consistent and avoid let downs in big games if they want to be Super Bowl contenders.

Los Angeles Clippers Resolution: Trade Jordan or Griffin

Easier said than done, but the Los Angeles Clippers will have to figure out a way to turn the page on the “Lob City” era and get some kind of return on their best assets.

Of the two DeAndre Jordan will likely be the most movable part. With a better contract only two years left on a contract compared to Blake Griffin’s brand new five year contract.

Jordan is also the more durable of the two as Jordan has played almost every game of the last five seasons, whereas Griffin has missed significant time the last three seasons in a row.

Together the players may get the Clippers to a low seed in the playoffs, but with less talent than the top teams in the Western Conferece that offers little chance for success. The Clippers need to look to the future and hope they can get top talent in return.

Los Angeles Lakers Resolution: Figure it out

The Lakers are far away from being contenders and I really wish Lakers fans would get on board and realize this. When you have a starting line up born in the second Clinton administration an expectation of playoffs just isn’t realistic.

So pipe down enjoy the process and remember it could be worse, you could be watching the New Orleans Pelicans.
