The Los Angeles Dodgers had their best year in quite some time in 2017. There is more in store for the defending NL Champs in 2018.

Ah, 2017 was quite the year for the Los Angeles Dodgers, wasn’t it? Los Angeles made its first World Series appearance since 1988 after a truly magical season. Walk off home runs, come from behind rallies and new faces all highlighted 2017. Dodger fans were spoiled in 2017; the only thing they failed to receive is that coveted World Series trophy.

Still, 2017 was the best year for the Dodgers in 29 years and there are no signs of the team slowing down anytime soon. Most of the core is still intact from last season and will remain intact for a couple more seasons. With a great head coach in Dave Roberts and a talent-stacked roster, the Dodgers will look to start 2018 where they left off in 2017.

The team may not win 104 games again and put together an insane summer that consisted of 43 wins in 50 games. It is incredibly hard to keep up that kind of magic. However, the team will still be great in 2018 and will still spoil the millions of Dodger fans around the world.

2017, and the World Series loss, are now a thing of the past. Instead of looking back, the Dodgers must set their sights on 2018 and the challenges that come with it. Thus, here are five bold predictions for the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2018.
