The Los Angeles Angels enter 2018 with a much different look than they had in 2017. Thus, what bold predictions can we make for the Halos in 2018?

Things are looking bright for the Los Angeles Angels in 2018. After another mediocre season in 2017, the Angels front office kicked things into full gear this offseason and crafted a completely new look team that Mike Trout can be proud of. With key pieces already established and coming back from the DL, the Angels should be everyone’s dark horse in 2018.

Just look at the Angels’ roster, they have some of the most talented players in all of baseball. Andrelton Simmons is a defensive wizard that found his bat last season; warranting him enough votes to finish eighth in AL MVP voting. Then there is Garrett Richards, Tyler Skaggs and Andrew Heaney; a scary good young trio that can do a lot of damage together when healthy.

Of course, there is Mike Trout, the second most recognizable face in Anaheim aside from Mickey Mouse. Trout is by a mile the best player in baseball and has been the only player in the past to keep the Angels relevant.

Then there are the new additions. Zack Cozart and Ian Kinsler rounded out a thin infield that suddenly becomes scary. Newcomer Justin Upton opts to stay in Southern California and signs a contract extension. Japanese phenom Shohei Ohtani decided that the Angels should win his sweepstakes.

All of a sudden, things look great for the Los Angeles Angels — who haven’t won a playoff game since 2009. Starting with Ohtani, here are four bold predictions for the Angels in 2018.
