Dodgers: Five players who will improve the most in 2018
By Jason Reed
The Los Angeles Dodgers enter 2018 still as the most talented team in baseball. Thus, who is going to improve the most to help that talent level increase even more?
The Los Angeles Dodgers are still the most talented team in the MLB, but the gap has shrunk significantly. The New York Yankees are knocking on the door after acquiring Giancarlo Stanton and flirting with Manny Machado. Teams such as the St. Louis Cardinals are getting better; there are still a lot of big name free agents that can change the landscape of the league.
For now, though, the Dodgers still hold their throne atop the MLB talent-wise, despite what Astro fans have to say. Los Angeles is significantly deeper than any other team in the league. There are no real gaps in the starting nine, the bench is one of the best in baseball and this is with a dominant starting rotation and bullpen.
A lot of that is a testament to Andrew Friedman’s front office, who have picked up sleepers such as Chris Taylor and Alex Wood. Great draft picks such as Cody Bellinger and Corey Seager have paid off in the last two seasons. And, of course, it helps when you have the best pitcher on the planet leading the starting rotation.
Thus, there are not many areas for the Dodgers to improve upon next season. However, improvement is still imperative if the Dodgers want to win it all. They came one game short, now, with everyone getting better the Dodgers must also get better.
Los Angeles does not seem to be making any blockbuster move this offseason. Thus, it is up to the talent already on the team. With that being said, here are the five players that will improve the most in 2018.
