2. Logan Forsythe

Logan Forsythe was a solid, consistent player for the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2017. The Dodgers knew exactly what they were going to get out of Forsythe all year. He is a great locker room presence, an above average fielder and helps the Dodgers in their quest to hit left-handed pitching.

Nothing is wrong with Logan Forsythe and that is what led to the Dodgers exercising their club option on Forsythe for the 2018 season. With Chase Utley presumably gone, the second base job is guaranteed to Forsythe and gives him a chance to fix the one hole in his game.

He cannot hit right-handed pitching, period. 2017 was an overall down year production-wise for Forsythe, yet the biggest concern is his performance against right-handed counterparts. Forsythe hit .190 against right-handed pitching last season compared to .290 against southpaws. Yikes.

However, 2018 looks to be a better year for Logan Forsythe. His bat started to come around late in the season and he was solid for the Dodgers in the postseason. Forsythe hit .297 in the postseason, including a .444 batting line in the NLDS with a pivotal game two performance that gave the Dodgers a 2-0 series lead.

At the end of the day, Forsythe is a professional baseball player and is likely working tirelessly as you read this to improve against right-handed pitching. While his niche is ultimately against left-handers, Forsythe will improve in 2018.
