Lakers Trade Rumors: The three best scenarios for Jordan Clarkson
By Keith Rivas
Jordan Clarkson is at the center of the latest Lakers trade rumors, but what does it mean the best case scenarios are for him?
The Los Angeles Lakers are at it again. In an effort to clear even more cap space for the coming free agency period, rumor has it that Jordan Clarkson is back on the trade block and the talks are getting stronger.
He’s been a solid back up point guard for the team this season, and he’s nearing the halfway mark of his $50 million dollar deal on which he’s currently inked. Also one of the best overall players on the roster, it’s hard for me to see how trading him actually helps their hopeful ideology of winning now.
After being in the lottery part of the NBA Draft the last several seasons, the poor play, you would think, would come to an end, right?
Well, Magic Johnson and Rob Pelinka seem like they’ve got this figured out. Somehow keep the LaVar Ball drama from personally affecting Lonzo and therefore screwing with his abilities on the floor while also keeping the comments from creating a serious division in the locker room.
As a player, though, it’s best for Jordan Clarkson to find a gig elsewhere where the team will actually appreciate what he has to offer. With the noise around the last two drafted point guard in D’Angelo Russell and Lonzo Ball, it hasn’t seemed to matter that Clarkson can be his own force in purple and gold.
With that in mind, here’s three of the best trading scenarios when it comes to shipping Jordan Clarkson away from Los Angeles.
