The Los Angeles Angels are entering the 2018 season with a completely different look than 2017. Thus, success and improvement are inevitable for the Halos.

The Los Angeles Angels already have the best baseball player on planet Earth, now, they have a solid supporting cast around him. Los Angeles has struggled to put together a viable team around Mike Trout that could win him his first career playoff game. Whether it be unlucky injury bugs, a lack of depth or bad signings, the Angels have not won a playoff game since 2009.

All of that looks to be different in 2018. Billy Eppler and his front office has been very busy this offseason to bring in supplemental talents to the talents they already had. Zack Cozart and Ian Kinsler are new additions to the infield; the franchise is taking a huge risk on both guys, hoping they can replicate former success.

The team’s first move was extending Justin Upton. Although that extension may hurt the team in the long run, it gave them enough wiggle room to make moves now. And, of course, they made the second biggest move of the offseason; signing Shohei Ohtani.

The front office already hit a grand slam with Andrelton Simmons, perhaps these moves could have a similar effect. For the first time in quite some time, the Angels have the talent and look poised enough to threaten for AL West supremacy.

If they do, they are going to need some of their players to improve from their 2017 production. Thus, here are four players that will improve the most in 2018.
