Dave Roberts is pinned with an interesting task in 2018: find out how to juggle the deepest team in baseball. Luckily for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Roberts has already done the task.

Despite ultimately losing the World Series in seven games to the Houston Astros, the Los Angeles Dodgers were the deepest and most talented team of 2017. A red-hot summer propelled the team to the upper echelon of MLB teams; at one point, many were talking about if the Dodgers could beat the all-time wins record.

Although Dodger fans had the ultimate heartbreak, in their own stadium, in the World Series, the talent is still there. The Dodgers are bringing back most of their young core, the pieces they are missing they are working quickly to fill. At the end of the day, the Dodgers enter 2018 just as talented as they left 2017.

Whether that is good or not is a discussion for another day. Every other MLB team, even the defending champs, are getting better. The Dodgers have stuck to their guns, making smaller moves in the process. The effectiveness of that plan will unfold in 2018. If it is not effective, it will create many angry fans.

This complacency leads to the Dodgers deep lineup to look pretty similar to last season. Although guys like Adrian Gonzalez, Chase Utley and Andre Ethier are out the door, the Dodgers will replace them with new talents; whether they are just brought in or returning from injury.

With that being said, here is a look at how the Los Angeles Dodgers’ everyday lineup should look in 2018.
